Monday Morning

The Picture is from last year's flowers. I am excited that it is that time of year again!

I have a test tomorrow on ED ( Emergency Room and Trauma), Disaster Management, and AIDS. I am procrastinating on this fine Monday morning. I get tickled taking the kids to school everyday. We have a shoe shelf but the kids can never find there shoes. It is so busy in the mornings that I just want to hide. I have 3 lunches to attend too, three breakfast, three book bags, shoes, notes, and checks. John has to have clean blankets and sheets on Monday morning. I also have to have jackets and signed papers. Then I must go and make sure the kids are not sneaking toys to school. John spends the entire morning asking questions. Mom, " how do you spell no?". Mom, "why does a farm have a barn". Mom, why did Daddy go to work?" Mom, " are we have a thunder storm today?" By the time I drop everyone off at school I just want to sit in my car in a moment of silence like a quiet prayer. Usually at 9 AM I have to be in class which is 35 minutes from my house with a 10 minute walk from my car to class. I have five more weeks of class!

March Weekend

We had a busy weekend. Stuart got back from Omaha on Friday Night. Saturday morning Stuart went for a three mile run and then we headed off to Pigeon Forge. My friend Sheri and her husband were camping. They have a new camper with two bedrooms. It was so cool it looked like a mini house equipped with a flat screen T.V. and bunk beds. I got to see the twins for the first time and now they are turning 6 months old. We had a great day and then we drove back home to check on Jacob. Then I had to work at the hospital the next day. I have to get up at 4:30am! I worked on the Peds floor. John only managed to get three major boo boos this weekend and Ashley fell in the icy water with her clothes on. Sunday afternoon, Stuart made a large leave pile in the backyard. They kids ran and jumped like it was a big swimming pool of leaves. Mojo watched and waited to be untied. Then he jumped in just like the kids.... he was waiting for his turn.

March 16, 2009 Jacob is 15

I remember Jacobs 2nd Birthday. I was a new Mom and wanted to make his cake. I made a fish cake, fish decorations, goldfish, and had a neighborhood party for him. It was great!

We took Jacob to the Mall on his 15th Birthday to look around for some needed clothes. All the kids fought all the way to West Knoxville. I think I jumped out of the car before it stopped just so the noise would stop. We found Jacob two shirts and some cool checkered shorts. We drove around for thirty minutes for Jacob to decide on a restaurant. We finally decided to go to a Japanese Buffet. I wanted to go anywhere but there but it was Jacob's night. When we were all seated Ashley started to shiver she had been sick all weekend with a temperature. Nobody ate and the food almost seemed room temp. I was grossed out so the waitress brought our bill and it was $90.000 and Stuart's mouth dropped open. We all had water and no dessert. It was about $20.00 per person and it was the worst meal we had had in a long time. Then the kids fought all the way home!

The next morning I got Jacob chocolate cover donuts with icing in the middle and a cookie cake. He was as happy as could be for a birthday morning. I also picked him up two car sales newspaper books.

Stuart had to pack up for Omaha and he left 5am Monday morning. When he called me on Monday night I said " so, what did you have for dinner?" He said you will never guess..... Chinese food again! Now I am home alone again with the kids. Ashley is still running a temp and John put a big dent in his head. On happier note, I love this time a year when I can pack up the heavy coats and watch the trees bud. The kids love playing outside.

Generation X

People born between 1961-1976 is the generation that I fall under. We are the generation that is comfortable with technology, need flexibility, are visionary people, but lack loyalty to companies. When I graduate from college in 1991, I can remember my parents talking about the stock market crashing and companies downsizing. People where laid off in the early 90's especially those getting ready to retire with big pensions. But what Americans are going through today is different. Not only are we seeing layoffs, housing markets at an all time low, food prices going through the roof, politicians not united to do good for America, and air of just negativity. We do not have any big wow factor on the horizon like the Internet.... what will pull Americans together to work hard at improving our country? Hopefully, I can be apart of it
the
wow.....

The Family Icon

Here on the back of my car I have family stickers. Stuart laughed and said you must be very proud of us to display them so high up on the windshield.

John is 4

Spring Fun

Jacob, Ashley, and John were excited to be outside tonight riding bikes and scooters. John played in the mud with his dump truck. Then he decided he need to put it in his bedroom with the dirt still in the back of it.

Of course, I was happy too that they were not under my feet. Mojo was equally happy to be out with the family. Ashley signs up for cheer leading tomorrow and starts soccer soon. We just found a team for John to start soccer on which is Upwards. I have been sick lately I think with gallbladder issues. I have seen a rise in cases of gallbladder dysfunction lately and I wounder if it is viral related. I have been really tired too!. My baby is now 4!
