Sunday Early Fall Day

One of my favorite memories and something I cling to every year is the fall crisp mornings after a USC football game. Stuart and I stayed up last night watching USC and Georgia play an intense game of football. A morning when you are just too tired to drag yourself from the bed I heard the wind blowing. I jumped up and made a pot of coffee and headed to the screen porch and just sat there in deep thought feeling the September breeze sweep across me. The sound of the leaves rustling and the crystal blue sky is my happiest time of the year. I love fall. No humidity in the air. I love the mountains and the leaves changing vivrant colors that swirl around in the yard. Every year we rake the leaves in big piles and watch the kids smile as they jump in the leaves with joy. We go an pick apples, start lighting candles in the house, and start wearing light jacket. It is just like the feeling you get in the springtime after a long harsh winter... Next we will have pumpkins and beautiful dark clear night skies....

Animal Fun

More Pictures

What a fun day the Moore's had in Morristown, TN. We started our day with fresh homemade doughnuts from Peggy Ann's Bakery. Thanks Cindy now we are hooked! Then Stuart took John for a big boy haircut. Then we headed to the http://www.briarwoodsafari.com/home.html I thought the animals would crawl in the car with us. One very big steer was licking my hair!. The kids laugh and screamed it was great to see Zebras. Emus, Steers, Bulls, and Deers coming up to the car and eating out of our hands.

Tuesday, Sept 8

What a beautiful morning in East Tennessee. The sun is shining over the bright green grass. The fog is lifting making everything glisten as the sun is shining through each break in the clouds. This is the first year that I can remember that we have had adequate rain fall not too much or too little. I have had climbing roses since March and Stuart is still bringing in red tomatoes and bell peppers. I just dropped the kids off and I have plenty to keep me busy today. I have to work for the next three nights so I have a mountain of preparations. We had a full plate this weekend and took a 3 mile walk yesterday at the Cherokee Dam. It is a peaceful place looking at the mountains and lake as far as one can see. There was a slight breeze and the faint smell of lake water. I would love to live on the water and awake in the mornings when the lake is smooth as glass.

Stuart and I stayed up late last night listening to music outside. There was a beautiful September moon with an orange glow that was almost full which was lighting up the night sky. Jacob has a cross country meet today at Panthers Creek.
